About Us

Hi, I am Kasia Frankfort and I established Jack & Jill, a salon for boys and girls, in February of 2004. It all started with my son needing a first haircut.  I was new to the area, and I had been polling other moms in my playgroup trying to find a salon suitable for him.  No one could come up with the right place.  It was at that time that a proverbial light bulb went off in my head.  Prior to having my son, I was an investment banker in a technology focused firm and worked with many entrepreneurs but I have never built my own business; not mentioning building a hair salon for children.  Yet, I knew this was the right idea and the right time.  I decided on a location in the lovely town of Cranford. The day we opened there were 6 kids with moms waiting at the door. It was the ultimate confirmation that a place like this was long awaited.

We cater to children from 0 to 15 years of age.  Most of our clients are preschoolers and for them we offer a variety of videos to watch and toys to keep them happy.  The older kids get to play video games.  While they are being entertained we cut their hair.

I was lucky to find a group of qualified, friendly stylists who shared my inspiration.  I am proud to have them on my team. We strive to provide highest quality service to the most precious customers.
